Hertfordshire County Council has introduced new, convenient, ways to apply for free school meals.
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) is working to promote free school meals and educational benefits to make sure that as many eligible children and families as possible get the support they are entitled to. In addition, every child that registers for free school meals generates income for their school via the Pupil Premium; this premium is then used to improve the attainment of children in school.
You can apply via any of the following methods:
- computer at www.hertsdirect.org/freeschoolmeals or http://www.hertsdirect.org/services/edlearn/canhelp/
- telephone to the Customer Service Centre at 0300 123 4048 during opening hours
- smartphone
- web enabled mobile phone
- Games console e.g. playstation/Wii & X-Box
- DigiTV
How to use the new services.
