1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a person to be a positive, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join the Cassiobury Junior team to support children requiring SEN/D Support or children with EHCPs for 32.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8:30am – 3:30pm). The ideal candidate will nurture and support the child/ren ensuring a compassionate approach to their individual needs and qualities.

You must be able to use your skills, experience and initiative when working with children on a one to one basis but you will be supported by the class teacher, SENDCo and Other Professionals to implement this support.

You will work term time only. This will be a fixed term contract in line with the child’s one to on needs.

This role may involve some personal care for children requiring this one to one support.

Knowledge and experience of the Hertfordshire Steps approach is desirable.

This role also involves the role of the Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA) supporting our children during lunchtimes. 

Qualifications and experience in First Aid is desirable.
